This course is written from the point of view of the New Zealand Health System. It is aimed at practitioners who have knowledge and orientation in the New Zealand Health System, are working with migrant clients and who are required to be culturally competent as part of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (HPCAA, 2003) cultural competency requirements. eCALD recognises that migrants make up a significant proportion of the New Zealand health workforce and, as a result, video examples provided in this course present health practitioners from diverse cultures working with migrant clients from cultures different from their own.

This is a Face-to-face workshop facilitated by an eCALDĀ® trainer and are usually four hours in length. A certificate of attendance is provided at the end of the course.
A schedule of face-to-face workshops Auckland are published on eCALD's face-to-face courses calendar which includes course details (course outline), duration, venue details. To book a face-to-face workshop for a team within Auckland or outside of Auckland, a booking request need to be emailed to cald@waitematadhb.govt.nz
