The objective of the course is to develop a knowledge base for the use of OCT in the clinical diagnosis and optometric decision-making of common vitreomacular disorders. The course will describe common OCT findings of vitreomacular interface disease, age-related macular degeneration and retinal vascular conditions and correlate these findings with the clinical features of these conditions. The participants, at completion of the learning exercise, are expected to identify OCT findings that may indicate vision threatening macular disease, to use OCT to evaluate the severity of common macular conditions and to formulate a management plan for common macular conditions.
