The course is an independent learning format article designed to meet unmet educational needs of Australian optometrists in non-clinical CPD. It explores core concepts of the OBA Code of Conduct and focuses on boundary violations in the provision of healthcare. It presents definitions, risks, impacts and management strategies to avoid transgressions in this area. It will be assessed by MCQ to determine the level of understanding by optometrists who have completed this module.

At the end of this module you will:
- Understand the difference between boundary crossings and boundary violations
- Understand the risk factors for practitioners and patients that may make a boundary violation more likely to occur
- Understand ways to mitigate risks of boundary violations and apply these to day to day practice
