This video is presented by Professor Paul Mitchell and Sabine Ostrowski (MDFA National Manager- Healthcare Relations). It was originally presented as a webinar on 11 May 2021. It is accessible to all Luxottica Optometrists across Australia and New Zealand. They will be discussing the prognostic retinal biomarkers that may indicate increased risk of progression of intermediate AMD, the signs of neovascular AMD and their detection when using OCT and OCT-A.

At the completion of this CPD Activity, participants should be able to:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Describe and identify prognostic biomarkers that may indicate higher risk of progression from intermediate AMD to vision loss (neovascular AMD or geographic atrophy),
2. Identify and evaluate neovascular signs in AMD using OCT and colour retinal photography, and
3. Identify additional insights OCT-A can provide over OCT in neovascular AMD diagnosis.
