OCT Angiography (OCTA) allows us to visualise many retinal vascular changes previously only visible with invasive fluorescein angiography. This lecture will look at changes to both the inner and outer retinal vasculature, giving viewers greater insight into numerous disease processes.
- Understand the indications for OCTA
- Appreciate the evolving role of OCTA in routine optometric care, especially in retinal ischaemia, lesions of diabetic retinopathy and macular neovascularisation
- Recognise the limitations of OCTA, including common artefacts, which can hinder accurate interpretation
