Learning Objectives

  1. To understand the general, ocular and visual signs and symptoms of commonly presenting neurodegenerative disease, particularly Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s and multiple sclerosis
  2. To develop a sequential examination process facilitating the identification of history issues which suggest the possibility of neurodegenerative disease; to diagnose or rule out ocular health and visual conditions commonly associated with these neurodegenerative conditions; as well as to be aware of options for managing these ocular and visual issues.
  3. To understand current scientific publications on the role OCT in the assessment of patients with possible or confirmed neurodegenerative diseases.
