Abstract Community primary eye care providers (PECP) are the main providers of visual rehabilitation and improvement to patients. Patients expectations following cataract surgery as well as visual improvement are usually ingrained during their visit with their PECP. It is important that as PECP, we have an understanding of limitations of modern lens technology to provide a positive and balanced expectation of surgical outcomes.
Objectives:
To provide an update on lens technology and potential refractive outcome options to PECP, to promote understanding of modern lens technology benefits and limitations, to promote a synergistic approach to optimise patient outcome, expectation and satisfaction.
